Did you know that the chassis on your home is the only part of its entire structure that cannot be replaced?

The method of siting your home is an important factor in how well it is able to withstand additional weight.

What is your home sited upon? Is it a full concrete base? Part concrete & part-hard standing? Or hard standing with only a small strip of concrete under the centre axles?

Our service includes assessing the base which determines the position and amount of additional supports required.

If you have had:-
a new tiled roof,
re-cladding,
replacement windows or doors,
additional weight added to your home i.e: new kitchen &/or bathroom

or

if your skirting has not been fitted correctly,
if your home is over 10 years old,
or if your home is within 5 miles of the coast

– all these things can be detrimental to your chassis’ ability to keep your home mobile and therefore comply with the site licence and the definition of a park home. And they may lead to increased risk of the home collapsing or distortion occurring to the fabrics of your home.

We offer a unique chassis refurbishment program that includes:-

Cleaning the chassis, and removing the corrosion.

Painting with a rust inhibitor type paint. Supplying and fitting tripod adjustable support stands, positioning them in the exact place where they are most beneficial to the home. These are specifically designed and manufactured to re-support and re-level park homes.

We can also complete a full detailed inspection of your chassis with a written report before any work is undertaken.

All our work comes with a 5 year guarantee.

If your home has or is about to receive remedial works that have increased the weight. These can be: a new tiled roof, re-cladding, replacement windows or doors, new kitchen &/or bathroom. It is more than likely that your chassis was designed and manufactured to support and carry the original weight of your home. By increasing the load on the chassis this can cause irreversible damage to the steel work and in the long term to the fabrics of the home.

The additional weight, along with corrosion and insufficient supports, means the home has a shortened life span. By cleaning, painting and adding additional supports in the correct places your home will have an extended life span and be able to manage the stress of being refurbished, modernised and improved
